I take an interdicsiplinary approach to problem solving and designing. Keeping in mind the workflows that come before and after my work in a project, including the needs of cross functional partners in my designs. By taking this approach I can increase understanding of how my role will affect other workflows in the start and decrease back and forth and reworking towards the end of a project allowing time for QA and polish instead of reworking of the concept. The sooner these blockers are brought up and addressed, the more time we can leave to find proper solutions or build with the flexibility of incorporating feedback in a more seamless fashion. By building within a system that keeps in mind all scenarios of how the design will be implemented, I can foresee problems that may arise and build with options and opportunities to solve for them in advance, or leave room for opportunities to expand on a solid base design that can be taken in the needed direction while maintaining integrity for the initial goal. This makes for a more efficient and productive workflow especially when on a tight deadline, and ensures that the needs of all parties are met.
